Building The Future

In order to improve decision making, product design and planning, UCODEA leverages state-of-the-art research:

• Environmental and health studies validate the importance of this work, from the impact on the global environment to the health of individual Ugandan households.
  
  
• The science of rocket stoves has been adapted to develop a product customized to the Ugandan market place.
  
  
• Information systems have been put in place to qualify UCODEA stoves for carbon financing.



• Financial benefits of switching to UCODEA improved stove technology have been tested in the field through the Kitchen Performance Test (KPT) methodology.
  
  
• Participation in collaboration and information sharing forums such as the UN Development Program and the Partnership for Clean Indoor Air (PCIA) hosted by EPA.
